Matt Beatty

The Black Clover (map)

Matt Beatty was born in Calgary and has been performing for over  the last 15 years.   Over that time Matt has developed into one of the most diverse artists.  His diversity starts with his instruments.  Not just a great guitarist, Matt also regularly performs as a bassist and as a drummer.
Matt is well regarded as a musical chameleon. Matt performs as a solo act.  His acoustic show features Matt and his acoustic guitar while his sequence show features tracks from all the different styles Matt performs and is a great way to really grasp his versatility.  “The 2nd String Cowboys” allow Matt to focus on country music which he recently was featured as a semi-finalist in the Country 105 contest "Rising Star".  "Hot O'Malley's" delve into east coast and Celtic genres.  "the Hot Tamales" is Matt in a top 40/classic  variety band that has been a main stay in Calgary's music scene for the last decade. Most recently Matt has created a group called "Double Suede" to satisfy his desire to play blues and jazz music.  With this versatility Matt has performed for a wide range of clients such as the Calgary Corporate Challenge, the Wayne Gretzky & Friends Golf Tournament and at Global Fest Fireworks
Matt Beatty has performed all over western Canada in honkytonks like Wild Bills (Banff) to world class resorts such as The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Most recently Matt was part of the Official Calgary Grey Cup Committee band that performed a variety of shows in Toronto for the last Grey Cup and is scheduled for next year in Ottawa.  Matt takes great pride in his history of playing outside Canada for events such as Canada Day in Vladivostok Russia, or an all inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic and most notably at  the legendary home of the Beatles, the Cavern Club in Liverpool.
Matt has been seen through many different media formats such as Global TV and The Calgary Herald. Not to mention a front page spread in the Star Phoenix (Saskatoon) plus recent banner spreads in the Montreal Gazette, Edmonton Sun and Vancouver Province.

From the Beatles to Metallica, Johnny Cash to Bruno Mars, Matt Beatty will take you on an exciting musical journey, and is sure to have your group dancing and singing but most importantly, having fun.

Amy Hef

Amy Hef

The Black Clover (map)

Amy Hef has been compared to artists like Pink, Tegan and Sara and Roxette.

Splitting her time between Alberta and LA since 2007 and finding successes along the way as an honor student at Musicians Institute (Hollywood, CA) 90.3 AMP Radio’s Rock Star, a Breakout Artist, winning YYC Music Awards 2017 – Female Artist of the year and George Stroumboulopoulos included her in his list of Top 3 Buzz Bands.

Life wasn’t always lived this ‘out loud’ for the now singer/songwriter/recording artist. The youngest of five kids growing up in northern Alberta she barely spoke a word before the age of 11. She had four other siblings who did all the talking for her. Her pre-school teacher hilariously thought she was deaf because she never responded to any of her questions – Amy didn’t realize she was supposed to.

Being a bit (understatement) on the chubby side as a kid with little or no confidence she stumbled on No Doubt and Gwen Stefani and their video “Just a Girl” – and everything changed in that moment. Amy knew who and what she wanted to be. She took up the drums, which lead to the guitar and songwriting. That’s how Amy found her voice and a way to connect with the world.

Shedding the weight and finding her music and her voice meant saying goodbye to all those childhood insecurities. This deep love affair with music coupled with her respect for all those who have gone before and those who continue to build her ever-expanding musical knowledge have brought her to this point.

With Amy’s natural talent, compassion and sense of humour, this multifaceted artist brings a truly unique, energized and interesting vibe to everything she does. There is a fun, fresh, bright, kind, insightful perspective in every song and every live show. The days of being the extreme introvert are over. Amy found a strong and powerful voice through music – and she’s never looked back.

Amy is working and creating again in the studio in LA, Canada and Sweden

Born and raised in Prince George, Dean recently returned to the area after 22 years. During his absence, he has lived and worked overseas, Northwest BC and the Kootenays. During his travels, he has performed at countless special public and private events as well as entertaining patrons in coffee shops, pubs and bars with his eclectic mix of covers of rock, country, jazz and folk. At Dean’s shows, one is as likely to hear Duran Duran as Leonard Cohen. Dean’s original music combines his baritone voice combined with steel, nylon or electric guitars.
